We have produced a new tapered leaf spring that has softer spring rate and resist sagging. Tapered or parabolic single leaf springs
have around twice the articulation of the standard multi-leaf spring. The
tapered leaf spring spreads the stress in the leaf, and therefore resists
sagging.
If you are interested in leaf springs,
contact us.
The advantages are:
- Can handle greater articulation with softer spring rate
- Remarkably resistent to spring wind up, even with big horsepower V8's
- Provides the best possible lateral location for the axle (important for
racing categories where panhard or watts linkage are not allowed.)
- Constant rate, as opposed to progressive rate of multi-leaf spring.
Constant rate is better for suspension tuning. Constant rate will
restrict body roll better on the outside wheel.
- Reduce weight compared to multi-leaf.
- Reduce friction in the suspension, caused by the rubbing action of the
multi-leaf.
